Privacy policy

Last updated 1 January 2026. This policy explains what personal data Pockevltquirkly Media GmbH processes when you use pockevltquirkly.bond, why we process it, and what control you have over it.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Pockevltquirkly Media GmbH, company number CHE-329.774.185, registered at Alpenblickweg 14, 8032 Zürich, Switzerland. We publish independent editorial guidance about scenic travel routes in Switzerland. We do not sell tickets, accommodation or tours, and we do not operate a user account system.

Privacy questions, including requests to exercise your rights, should be sent to our data protection contact at [email protected] or by post to the registered address above, marked "Data Protection".

2. What we collect

We keep collection to the minimum needed to run a publishing website.

  • Information you give us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the subject category you select and the content of your message. If you email us directly we receive whatever your message and mail headers contain.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, request time, requested URL, referring page, user-agent string and response status. These logs exist to deliver pages, diagnose faults and detect abuse.
  • Analytics information. Only if you consent. This is aggregate usage data such as which guides are opened, approximate region derived from a truncated IP address, device category and referral source.
  • Preference information. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device so the banner does not reappear. It is not transmitted to us as a personal identifier.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not process special categories of personal data such as health, biometric or political information.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

  • To answer enquiries — legal basis: legitimate interests, or the steps taken at your request before entering into any arrangement.
  • To keep the site available and secure — legal basis: legitimate interests in operating and protecting our service.
  • To measure audience and improve our guides — legal basis: your consent, withdrawable at any time.
  • To comply with Swiss and EU law — legal basis: legal obligation.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We set a small number of strictly necessary items that keep the site working and record your consent decision. Analytics and functional cookies are only set after you accept them in the banner. A full table of categories, purposes and retention periods, together with browser-level opt-out instructions, is published in our cookie policy. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser and reloading the page, which restores the banner.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions under written agreements:

  • A web hosting and content-delivery provider, which handles page delivery and server logs.
  • An email service provider, which transmits and stores enquiry correspondence.
  • A privacy-oriented analytics provider, used only where analytics consent has been given.

Where a processor is located outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate supplementary safeguards. We may also disclose data where required by a lawful order from a competent authority, or to establish or defend legal claims.

6. Retention

Contact form correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, then deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months for security and troubleshooting. Aggregate analytics reports, which do not identify individuals, may be kept for up to 26 months. Consent records are kept for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance. When a retention period ends we delete the data or irreversibly anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to processing, including profiling; to receive your data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and the purposes of collection, request deletion, and are protected against discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within one month and will tell you if we need longer for a complex request. We may ask for information to verify your identity, used only for that purpose.

8. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner at edoeb.admin.ch, or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

9. Security and changes

We use HTTPS across the whole site, limit administrative access, and keep our publishing tooling up to date. No internet service can be guaranteed absolutely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form. If we materially change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects your rights, present the cookie banner again so you can review your choices.
